By Train – If you are planning your trip by train then we would recommend you to take the train to Kalka from your Home Town. Kalka is located 90KM from away from Shimla. From here you can opt a taxi or take the Toy Train( World Heritage UNESCO) and can enjoy the scenic beauty of the mountains. But if you want to take a taxi make sure you already booked it before you get there if you book a taxi after reaching Kalka or anywhere in Himachal Taxi Driver will charge you a tremendous amount so book the taxi and hotel at least one month prior to your travel dates.
By Road -The road network in Himachal is well connected, so you can take a bus or cab from almost any major city in India. As part of the government’s bus services, state bodies operate bus services to all nearby states, cities, and towns, including Punjab, Delhi, Haryana, Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Haridwar, and Chandigarh.
